I have this number calling me frequently each day, but then a gap of a few months. My phone cannot block numbers, but it does allow me to save and put an ID (‘Scam’ is what I put), give it a call colour (I made it red) and a call melody (I put one melody). Hopefully this will not disturb me. Scam suspicion
I have had calls from this number starting about 7.10 a.m. going through to about 10.30 a M every 10 to 15 mins..I just mute my phone as cant seem to stop these calls!! Disgusting these numbers allowed .. !!! Scam suspicion
This number kept calling all day I never answered , just lately tho village I live in has been targeted by BT scam Amazon scam Microsoft scam to name but a few
keep ringing. I don't recognise the number so will not answer. They ring me all the time with no let up.
This caller left a robot-like message with a number to ring to access it again. That was spoken so quickly that I could not remember it. In any case I had no intention of returning the call.
Phoned me twice within 10 mins, didn't answer the 1st, when they rang the 2nd time, I was waiting for a call from my doctor, thought it might be them. sounded like a pre recorded message about owing money, if didn't pay would be a fine. then \I hung up
Phoned me twice this morning. One just before 7am and the other at 7.10am. I never answered but got a fright with the earlier one as thought something had happened to my family. ??
I didn't recognise the number, so didn't answer the phone. On checking my phone, I had five calls over three hours!
This number has just rang my answer phone it knows my name and mentioned something about an appointment on the 25th of this month I have no idea who this firm is.
This number has phoned me about 6 times today. Unsettling. I have logged on to BT and blocked it.
I have been phoned 5 times today. It is very unsettling as I am an elderly person.
Who is this? Keeps phoning...no one at the end..how do I block this number on my land line?
This number rang my landline three times yesterday and again at 7.09 this morning. Each time there was no response at other end of line. It is a real nuisance.
This number calls our landline 0208 402 5558 on numerous occasions stating that it's a call from SMF but is pre-recorded!
Constantly being called by this number...... when answered nobody at the end of the phone just silence.
This number has rang 5 times so far today starting at 7.05am and it's now only 11.35. Line is silent.
This number called our landline phone five times this morning. The first one I answered, no one spoke, then disconnected. The second one, I listened, no one said anything, then disconnected. I turned the ringer off my phone, and that number phoned me another three times.
Got called by this number today at 2.40,3.25,6.59 & 18.59 with no messages left
Just had 2 calls from this number BT should block the number from there system then these idiots can't ring people like they doing
Nothing but a nuisance. No comments just a series of silent calls with no message or anything.
Repeated calls. No indication ofwholr what is calling. Justcontinually repeats "334400 delay". Seems no way to stop it.
8 August received call every 2hours no one at the other end. It is about time the government sorted out telecommunications
Usual nobody there scam call. Rang six times in ten minutes before I got around to blocking it.
03333440000 Says it's an SMS message. When listened to spells out letters but two voices going at once so completely incomprehensible.
Left messages that were both a series of numbers both different. Neither were long enough to be mobile numbers.
Garbled mesage about text - poor line - ignored, but then real BT message giving option to call back, with charge, making this scam call appear half-respectable.
We are talk talk customers. We are repeatedly phoned by BT, an automated call, regarding our internet connection with them. The number is not recognised.
Automated message left on answer machine saying the line was going to be terminated in the next 24 hours. It said they had detected some hacking links and I should get in touch with BT
03333440000 rang 8 times today, no ones ever on the other end, frustrating, never try and ring them back and report to ofcom, a serious pain IN THE BUTT if your the receiver!
I have been receiving many many silent calls. I was finally fed up and I rang this number back where it said that it's from a company called AQL.com. It also said if I wanted more information go to that website, which I did, and that showed me that anybody can use their services to ring and text your home phone. I spoke with them via a live chat and they said that silent calls were their text to speech service which is temperamental at best, and if I couldn't retrieve this message over my landline, then it would be lost and they would not tell me this due to GDPR and data protection. So the message is lost, and you can't do anything to get it back.
Automated call from "TalkTalk" saying my internet would be disconnected because of unauthorised usage that had been detected.
033334440000 keeps ringing but no one answering when I pick up, 7 times today! Have had missed calls logged by this number all week.
Third call just received no answer when I picked up First call when I didn't know who was ringing at all was text to land line with load of nonsense attached to it Last two calls brought no answer
03333440000 three times this morning before 9 o clock and up to a couple of calls every day getting totally fed up with this why cant someone do something about it i am with the TPR and its been great but this number keeps getting through, FED UP
03333 440000 called and I immediately blocked the number. But, the same number rang twice again, never picked up but blocking it seems to do nothing - thanks a bunch BT your blocking system needs a bit of tweaking!!
Just called no answer so blocked it through 1572 had two others yesterday call protect doesn't seem to work.
Called twice today, no answer - given the other comments, blocked - and hope it works!
Just received a call from this number about texts. Total nonsense and obviously someone is fishing for info. There was no text. Just a repeating cycle. Ignore this number or block it.
call from this number 3 times in 3 minutes just now. this must be stopped
This is a recorded message to asking you to press 1 to deliver the message 2 to record it etc. Another scammer! Surely someone on the other line recording who answered so they can try to get you whatever they can from you!
Text to landline, obviously some kind of scam, especially on a Sunday. These people need a good kicking.
Same problems as above. Consistent phone calls minutes apart. I blocked the number/
03333440000 keeps calling and when answered no voice.Very suspicious and annoying.
03333440000 Very sinister to call on a Sunday morning, no voice or sounds, unnerving.
I’ve received 4 calls from this number in the last hour 0333344000, definitely not trustworthy.
This number, 03333440000, has called three times in last hour. First two times answered call but no-one replies. Last call two minutes ago they phoned again. I let the call ring out this time. Then discovered I had a message left but on listening to it, silence.
automated female voice saying she was phoning from TalkTalk to tell me my internet was being disconnected and asking me to press 1 to rectify the problem
She said she was from BT call blocking service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. After she said we are still working hard to stop these calls we still need more time to get it right. Then she read out all my details (all correct) she asked for my debit card details, I asked her why she needs these details and she said for the call blocking service and I must have my card on hand. After I asked what company she it was she hung up. She had an accent but spoke good english and sounded genuine it was only when she asked for my card details that alarm bells started ringing.Scam!
03333440000 called twice with no one answering when you pick up the phone. Number is unusual so be careful if anyone does ever answer you.
03333440000 called my land line. As I do not have caller ID and was waiting for a call, I picked up. Silence. Twice in 8 minutes. Harrassment
03333440000 about 8 times yesterday, and another one early this morning. The first call informed me it was BT with a text to voice message, and the garbled message. All the calls have been silent when answered. How can I block it?
A nuisance call. The phone keeps ringing every so often and it is this 03333440000 number. A silly looking number that looks suspicious anyway. It is just a nuisance to answer the phone all the time and then no-one there, just silence.
This number 03333440000 has called me 3 times in the last hour. On answering, it is just silent and after 30 seconds the caller hangs up. Does anyone here know how to block/stop this number?
3 calls received within 3 hours last call received at 20:20 always silent obviously some idiot with nothing better to do. Totally harassing and annoying.
03333440000 called this morning 10am. Text message about my delivery. I am not expecting a delivery. I have checked with all friends and family and no one has send anything to deliver. This is obviously a scam of some nature. Most annoying.
Just called me at 7:50 am. You expect the call is an emergency at this time of the morning. It seems to be a 'text to speech' call - someone has sent a text to a landline. As others have suggested, it's risky to try and obtain the text. I discovered you can disable the text to speech service by speaking to your phone provider.
I was called on home phone by this number 03333440000 when I answered it was all garbled I couldn't understand it,I pressed 1 on my phone to replay and it's from a company called AQL SMS text ,still don't know who they are as I am ex directory
03333440000 Phoned several times 6 minutes apart. On answering my phone no one speaks.
Several (7/8?) silent calls so far today, so irritating and intimidating
03333440000 Called three times today so far 11.05,11.48 and 15.35. No one at the other end of the phone. This is very annoying and as we are on the Preference service should not be happening. BT get this sorted.
Have rung three times during the last hour. No-one on the other end of the line.
SMS answering service, 8 calls in the last few days, most annoying, reading the other responses it seems to be the system has been 'hacked' by a scam company.
Woke me up early this morning. Sounded like an Oriental lady and she said "Listen to this" and then I heard a noise like a powerhouse fart. Of course,I hung up and didn't wait to hear what coming next.
03333440000 This number called 8 times today , I had been out so unfortunate that I didn’t find out who they are , they surely eight times is pretty much harassment . Can it be traced to who they are ...?
This number had called 5 times since 11am today. No one in the end of the line. One call was a text message which I didn't listen to, just deleted it. Have now paid my phone company for the service to block numbers. I don't want the calls happening at night!
033334440000 called 3 times so far today, no one on the line. Very disconcerting to say the least. Very angry that this is happening.
Keep getting calls from this number no one speaks don't appreciate being woken up by nuisance calls its phoned twice this morning and at least 3 times in the week
the number above called twice this morning no one the other end then this afternoon it rang and on answering it said (have an automated message for youthen i heard which sounded like the phone number 03333440000 then continued to tell me press butto 1 to listen to the message button 2 to save button 3 to dismiss i never pressed any just hung up as you never know what would happen thankyou
keeps calling several times a day and no one speaks very annoying.also sends text messages on landline ,just the phone number no message.
Nuisance calls. Suggestion that it is NHS automated appointment line is possible, but the call was silent. I would not be tempted to answer so I have blocked it. Particularly since my local clinic only have my mobile number and NOT my land line. This call came to my landline. Nuisance and worrying.
Rang me twice. No answer. From the above messages ,none of which says there’s any kind of charge, it may be a very inefficient nhs reminder service as I do have a pending nhs appointment. Very annoying though
They called first time and when I answered no reply.. they called a second time 5 minutes later and started saying about a voice message. I clicked 1 as advices and a woman who sounded like she had a Chinese accent but sounded robotic started talking. She said “I had a great time...” I didn’t hear the rest of what she said. It creeped me out. I tried to ring the number back it then said it was a messaging service. After 3 calls to the number it rang back and said “you have been called by a messaging service thankyou and goodbye” it just rung again and it was silent
Silent call just woke me up from my afternoon snooze! Then rang again and silent call as well. Not happy!
Called 4 times this month; one of those times they called twice on one day. Don't give my details to anyone except people like BT, E-ON etc, and am expecting no parcels. Have BT nuisance call blocker but phone still rings.
Rang at 7am and when answered just options as previous comments state. This type of call should be outlawed........nuisance call if you ask me!!
AQUL IS A PAIN IN THE BACKSIDE I HAVE BT NUISANCE CALLS COVER BUT THEY STILL GOT THROUGH TO MY LAND LINE ???
This number rings us a LOT! We don't have a set up to receive texts on the landline so none of the options work. The calls don't seem to tie in with parcel deliveries either. Hermes and Royal Mail both text my mobile. I presumed it was a scammer but it's annoying regardless.
My mom got the same message as everyone else. Not able to hear message. Lwft for her. SMS Message on loop. Not expecting any parcels however. They called again with same result. It's worrying my elderly mother. They need to stop!
i got this call a few minutes ago . I am not expecting any deliveries whatsoever so am guessing this is a scam.
I always disconnect when I get silence followed by a recorded message, as most likely to be scam. Had several of these calls in the last week, so I began to think it might be important. Just called AQL on 0113 32030405, selected option 5 and spoke to someone who told me it was indeed a scam message, and offered to put me on a list of numbers so I never get these calls again, from AQL at least. We shall see!
I can confirm - as others have said - that calls from this number are from a telecoms service called AQL which handles the delivery of SMS/voicemail messages to landline phones on behalf of businesses such as parcel delivery companies. I received two of these notifications today regarding a delivery by Hermes. The messages were relevant and genuine.
A mumbling load of claptrap going on about some message, a delivery or something and press this or ring this number ,waste of bloody time , I put the phone down before the message had finished and it had been going on for the best part of a minute..!
Ignored the call.....Just MAYBE about a package I'm waiting to be delivered from Argos, today....... (That's from reading previous comments.....But I doubt it.) Ansaphone picked it up....Automated message made no sense at all.
I started listening and stopped after five seconds. I thought for all the world that this was a scam. In fact it's AQL on behalf of Parcelforce. I won't ever use a website that uses Parcelforce again if I can help it because the SMS messages are harassing.
Received a call this morning at 7.15 am ....really annoying....garbled message left about picking up a parcel.....
AQL Sms text messaging service but no message left. The call was at 10.10pm. Very frustrating as I am severely disabled, was getting ready for bed and could not get to the phone in time. If they are a genuine firm they are very badly organised
Called me at 20:40 tonight but I couldn't answer it before ans m/c kicked in, when I dialled 1572 an automated voice had left a numerical message = 33344275 I just deleted it.
Claimed to be delivering an SMS text but kept pressing the button to receive the text and it kept telling me to press the button. I hope I haven't hitched up to some scam premium number?
Got call at 7am, just a lot of noise on other end then a series of numbers. Very annoying and a complete waste of time. What is the point of TPS.
A friend received 3 calls on 5/1/18 at 11:00, 11:07 and 15:19. As number displayed was not recognised, did not answer. Guess it was some scam.
Phone rang at 6.30 a.m this morning. Something about a text message but I couldn't make it out. It's quite frightening to get a call so early In the morning. You automatically think there is something wrong.
I have had a call from this number, no message left, can only assume it is a scam call. I have been signed up with TPS for a long time yet still these calls come through around 5 a day!
Called three times this evening droning on and on. First call was about someone receiving nine tape measures. I’m on TPS so shouldn’t get these nuisance calls.
Garbled pre-recorded message which uses a mix of different voices - asked me to press 1 to pick up an SMS message sent to a landline.... no thanks!
I receive these calls when i am due a delivery from Debenhams, usually ring just as the Courier (Hermes) knocks the door, then i get another call when parcel delivered! I have tried to stop these calls as they are usually about 8.15am. I contacted Hermes but they say they do not do delivery messages by phone only email. I have contacted Debenhams and they have checked and said it is not them or their courier. The call is an 'automated' voice and they do mention SMS. I am now ignoring the call but it is inconvenient early in the morning. I am going to try Paypal to see if its them.
03333440000 this number called me sure they are crooks same no has called many people on this platform
Said I had an SMS message, then press 1, 2,3 etc but pressing 1 did nothing. Message kept recycling
Just received a call from this number. It was a message which just read out a lot of numbers. It also said press 1. I did that and nothing happened it just repeated the same numbers. I have now blocked this thanks to all previous comments.
Tried to call me twice again today - have previously blocked this number, will they never learn...
No idea who called .....real nuisance. The voice tells you to press 1 for the message but you never hear the messages. Have had many such calls from this number in the past few days. Wish they would stop.
Text messaging service but no matter how many times I pressed 1 no message actually played.
This is an SMS delivery service used to deliver SMS (text) messages to landlines. It is used by mainstream carrier companies but also can be used by other service providers like doctors and dentists. It is an automated message service so you will always get menus and options to pick up your messages like an answering service.
This is a voicemail delivery service The person who sent a message to me forgot to say their name
Just had a call from this number. If this is actually notice of a delivery by Parcel Force I think Parcel Force need to change their notification system as this seems to just cause alarm!
Called yesterday and then today. As the number is not on my list , I didn't pick up. No message left, so not important to me.
One call from this number was 02.15 am??? Next was 09.30 saYong it's a text message..press 1 to hear...2 to delete...no damn message....fuming. ..I have had Hednesford delivery today...so could be them
Same as most people recorded message says SMS delivery press 1 to listen to message, when pressed it reverts to begining again. Sounds like a scam or bad message set up. Blocked number
This is an SMS advance warning from Post Office Parcels re impending delivery so get out of bed!
The comments thus far are very different from my experience. I've just returned home to find this number on my home phone but there was a message from an online estate agent (99home.co.uk) concerning a property I'd enquired about. Obviously multi-tasking!
I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I would say it definitely isn't a scam. I am awaiting a parcel from parcel force, so it could be Hermes.
No expecting this sms rang four times pressed one and it repeated the message pressed one again didn’t work press four to delete still rang so I blocked and that stoped it ringing again it was a Sunday so there’s no delivery I don’t think it was about a delivery because we haven’t ordered any thing
How frustrating, although thanks to who-called.co.uk etc, I am (thankfully) much the wiser! Whilst it's great that the originator of the message says what to do (press 1, 2 etc) why don't they say at the beginning and/or end of the message who's left the message ret the SMS? especially as I've spend ages trying to find out who'd called! Irrespective of now knowing who the message might have been from, there's no way under the sun that I'd press one of the buttons anyway, as there's far too many scams doing the rounds all the time, and pressing a button is something scammers always invite one to do!. About time that 03333440000 got yheir act together, especially in view of next week's GDPR!
Have had this number call on numerous occassions, namely stupid o'clock at night and the last one was at 5.45am this morning. Never anyone on the other end, and it seems to be on a Friday/Saturday that it happens, has done this for the past 3 weeks. I am not expecting any deliveries and I am not happy about this. TPS cannot help and neither can my cable/phone supplier. Getting fed up now.
Recorded message from aql saying I have a package that will be delivered today. Just moved into this house with a new landline (I don't even know the number) that no one has. Rang service provider to block number.
Called us this am at 7.40 and again at 8.30 but as we have a BT guardian call blocker phone our phone did not ring out. We were expecting a delivery from Harrods via 48 hour Parcel Force. Delivery arrived at 9.30am and delivery man said that Parcel Force sends automated messages which ask you to press a number to get delivery time slot notification. So rather than block the call, people should add the number to their preference list if they want to get advance parcel delivery time but don't know why Parcel Force doesn't use email like DPS.
This is a company called AQL and they send texts on behalf of delivery co's like Parcelforce. If you phone 0113 32030405, speak to AQL on last option of menu - ask their General Enquiries team to read the message
Seems to be Hermes advising they're about to deliver a package at some point that day. Easy to think it could be a scam though as the "introductory message" gives no ID/shop name/reference... Safe on this occasion but would remain wary of future similar calls asking to press 1, 2 or 3...!
Text message, pressing 1 to hear it just brought me back to the original menu (without letting me hear message). Pretty useless if it isn't a scam...
Called ttoday. Said it was BT text messaging service. Press 1 to listen to message. I did and nothing . tried again and still nothing. However looking at other comments it could be an amazon courier adbising delivery
Called twice 07:04 and 07:24 first message was another 0333344 number, second one silent. Deleted both. Hope my actions haven’t triggered a phone farming scam. I am expecting a delivery and my OH paid a sum of money via FB to a Just Giving page, using PayPal, last night. We haven’t given our land line number to either.
No idea who called - the message left was automated, beginning partway through "..Press 2, to delete, press 3." No parcel delivered, no doorbell [I was in, just not available for 'phone in time.] Expect they will call again!
Came thru’ to Landline: was not home. We’re we home, we won’t be taking calls from such peculiar assortment of numbers.
Continued: I am expecting a parcel today from Parcelforce, after reading previous comments it could possibly be them. Amazon don't have my landline phone number on file though so how the third party seller got my number is a mystery.
Solved the 033344000 number - at least as far as I'm concerned. My OH bought 2 wooden posts about the time I got the strange SMS message on our landline. He brought home a small catalogue and as I wanted some trellis for the garden, I rang the company (local to us) and ordered the trellis. I paid by credit card (as did my OH when he was in the yard) and the receipt I got via email has PayPal across the top. So the SMS I received earlier was a receipt rather than an email receipt! Weird, I guess that means the company must use PayPal to direct its payments, rather than the normal credit card companies.
This number rang me 10 times in a day whilst I was away but left no message. I therefore concluded it was unimportant. Having read the posts below, it appears to be part of an automated parcel delivery service. The date coincided with the day when a neighbour took in a parcel for me, so I can concur with previous comments. Seems a clumsy system !
This number has phoned about a dozen times today, nothing but silence on the other end.
Got a call today with an SMS message, listened to it as quite often my son sends SMS messages. It sounded like I'd made a payment to or from Paypal of £10 plus. I have no idea what it was about, it also quoted lots of numbers. I've neither made or been paid money to or from Paypal.
Had message this morning from 03333440000 saying can't put parcel through letter box. I don't seem to find out who or what is was. It was on landline No 01179614491
Don't know who rang me on this number (today, 02/01/18 about half an hour ago) so I contacted Who Called me and read the comments from others so I went into my email bag and - lo and behold - an email to say that a parcel from an on-line transaction would be delivered by a carrier today between 9am and 13.00 hrs - and even more surprises only a few minutes ago a lady delivering a parcel (via Hermes) delivered the parcel I was expecting ! So folks that number 033333440000 must be genuine !
SMS message to my landline. If I want to hear the message press 1. Yeah right, I may be old but not senile. No doubt it will cost you even if you press 4 to delete.
Phoned today twice, 10.20am and 1030am,didn't pick up phone, (02/01/2018) checked on 1471 and Google, must of been a sales phone call of something???
I think it's a scam to find out if you are at home. Why can't we do something to stop this sort of thing
Had message this morning from 03333440000 saying can't put parcel through letter box. I don't seem to find out who or what is was. It was on landline No 01179614491
Called at 8 am. Fortunately intercepted by BT call minder so not a huge bother. No message left.
called via sms voicemail followed instructions and it was from parcel force confirming time slot for delivery of my parcel today.
I received call from this number today new years day at 7.03. Frightened the life out of me. The only calls to the house number at that time of the morning is if someone is in trouble. These people need to be stopped.
automated voice message saying 'this is a sms service, press 1 to hear the message.' then a different automated voice said 'message received at 4:30pm' ... which is the current time. I pressed 1 again to hear the message and the automated messages kept looping so seems like a scam, no actual message left. Called on the work phones landline.
Agreed - definitely NOT A SCAM despite some comments here. However, as others have said, it does not say who the delivery company is and the sound quality is also pretty poor. Not impressed with this service - but not a scam either.
7am, New years day 2018. First one I've had, but I could do without this. I have elderly parents and a call at 7am would usually mean there is something wrong and they are calling for help. I didn't get to the phone in time to pick up, but the caller? left a string of numbers on my phone and the company is www.aql.com, I think. The phone number was the 03333 44 0000 number on 1471. I hope this isn't going to happen every day at 7am!
on Thrursday 10/5/2018 at 8.35 pm, my Anser machine recorded: " To get your Text Message, press 1, to save press 2, etc., so I immediately sensed that this is a scam call. So, i dialled my BT 1471 to find the number of the caller, and it was from: 033 33 44 00 00 . I never responded to this message which was left by BT on my Answering Machine. I realised that this was a SCAM CALL .
03333440000 called today 1/1/18 at 07:28 no message left. Total scam TOS should be doing their job and somebody should start punishing these ignorant conmen.
Seven missed calls from this number no message left ,very annoying they could at least leave some indication as to who is calling ....Prats
Automated text msg left on ansaphone at 7am this morning saying "happy New Year to you all".
Called 7 am New Year’s Day , didn’t recognise number , checked 1571 and was left an automated voice saying a bunch of numbers - scam
4 Times called today - Last one i answered at 9.30pm telling me as others have said about some sms message system. I am not waiting on any delivery or anything else so obviously some scam or spam . Of course never push any button etc as we all know what that has done in the past.
For god's sake, people get your facts right before posting. It is a text delivery service for landlines. I got notified of my parcel delivery.
This number keeps calling me but doesn’t leave a message. I’m not expecting any parcels.
I got an SMS message from this number about gambling. This is totally wrong as am on TPS. how can I stop rhese calls. It is irresponsible. What if I had a gambling addiction?
Called me twice today. Claimed to be sending an SMS message, on pressing 1 as prompted to hear message, it kept putting me in a loop so I never heard the message. Eventually told me to call an 0844 number to retrieve message. - i.e. premium rate line Not BT. Think it's spam/phishing, especially after reading other experiences. Recommend ignore/block.
03333440000 called me three times yesterday (Christmas Day) and four times today (Boxing Day). I don't answer the phone to these people anymore. It's almost always a scam call or data phishing. It's just a nuisance now. If anybody knows how I could stop these calls coming through then please post the answer here. NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE TO THESE PEOPLE. ONCE THEY KNOW YOUR NUMBER IS LIVE AND ACTIVE THEY WON'T EVER LEAVE YOU ALONE.
This number called at 9am christmas morning. I didn't answer but listened to message left which was a series of numbers repeated by a computerised voice. Obvious scam call.
This number is totally safe It's a sms text message which puts you through to a voice mail to listen to message confirming my parcel force delivery time slot.hopes this helps others.
03333440000 have called at least 8 times a day for the last 3 days I don't answer the phone . This is really annoying
Rang approx 5 minutes after Yodel delivery... don't know if connected as there was no message left...
I was called at around 7.30 on the landline but put the phone down as I refuse to listen to computer voices. These should be stopped - if it really is about a parcel delivery an automatically generated email is far better.
Had yet another call from this number, I don't press any options, but wish it would stop!!!!!
Scum who hides behind answer messages and will not speak direct. About time we had the CEO's number, i would then take pleasure in calling hm at 3am to "sell" good and services
A text call to advise us of delivery time from Harrods by Parcelforce 48 hour. Genuine number
10.30 am or so this morning received one of these calls asking me to Press 1 to receive message - no message - repeated once - no message but found the number 03333440000 and this website. How can they steal money from my account? What can I do now? Just put the phone down? I do not receive SMSs on my landline and my mobile is out of action. Fed up with these people.
Had answered call from this number yesterday but daren’t press keypad to listen to message, same 15 mins ago. However on a website like this someone had said it was from a delivery service: knowing a Hermes delivery from Debenhams was due (had received email earlier today) when phone rang again a few mins ago I answered it and listened to message. It is clear and IS to say that parcel to be delivered between 12 & 2pm today????
called today automated SMS message asking to press numbers, could be paying for this so hung up!
when somebody sends a text to your landline, they ring you from this number and its supposed to be read out to you. Howver, the STUPID system tells you to press 1 to listen and then goes around again without EVER letting you listen to the text. STUPID system. Just select the option to disable SMS on this line.
SCAM ???? Suggest you block if you can. Again... suggests parcel delivery ?? Not expecting any parcels. Suggest you do not select any options ... just hang up then block..if your system allows. The Communications Watchdogs, BT, government and all else should ban these calls and also stop the ability to change CLI data to suit the caller. All calls should have a valid prefix number .. not computer generated. What use is TPS ??? Useless.
Automated message from parcel force letting me know what time my parcel will be delivered today.
As other messages state this is supposedly a text message coming to your landline (0844 something) and the number calling is 003333440000. HOWEVER. When a message such as this asks you to press options eg 4 to disable this... It seems to me that it must be a scam and that if you press one of those options you will somehow be linked to a number that is going to charge you something. I would advise not pressing any of the options, hanging up and blocking if you can. I am not expecting any parcel, would not have given my landline and doubt that if you press an option and it says it is from Hermes etc it actually is from them. Highly suspicious!
Unknown strange number i let the answerphone take it. Some kind of robotic series of numbers spoken at me and something about if I want to cancel text but no idea how, who or what. Couldn't hang up the call so pulled the phone line to **** it. Added this number to a block list. No idea who or what it was about. if it was genuine, they failed big time and shouldn't be doing this. Whoever it was.
this is evil. Especially because it could cause concern for inexperienced web users. Experienced web users will recognise it as something to be ignored but new web uses could become anxious by trying to get a message which is neither relevant nor even coherent. Does the number's owner make money by being dialled?
Caused me to ring my bank to check any activity, then my landline provider, not a lot of help. I real waste of my time, this number blocked if they cannot be bothered to to send PARCEL JUST ARRIVED hermes.
SMS Message on line saying about parcel delivery did not bother listening load of rubbish and scam time waster Why do this 6.45 am Idiots very Annoying should be stop by ofcom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stated it was from parcel force about a delivery we are expecting. Could not understand the voice and couldn't understand the tracking code numbers. Listened several times. Sounded suspicious but we are expecting parcel so not sure.
Missed call and no message left. Rand back, abpnsaphone confirming AQL suggesting check on their website. This said that attempted SNS delivery which should be on phone as either text on screen - if possible - or voice message - neither received so no idea what suposed message was about. Guess its wait and see?!
Couldnt understand it, said text message press 1 to hear, did this as i am awaiting calls from hospital about my other half so understandably i did not know if it was through them or not Message was not decipherable just a load of numbers slashes in verbal form of course They make me sick, I have had a bad enough week as it is
This was a genuine text to speech call from a delivery service giving me the time for delivery of a parcel. Useful.
It's a company sending sms text messages regarding parcels to be delivered (it was sent it to landline so my answerphone only picked up part of the message). It says press 4 to get your number removed from sms messaging but when pressed it takes you back to the beginning repeating it over and over so just deleted them in the end. Very frustrating. The parcels I was expecting were from Parcelforce and Hermes but haven't had any notifications like that before from either of those companies so it must be a relatively new thing.
Received the call early in the morning. It seemed to indicate that there was a SMS message for me but there was nothing. I saved it on my phone to look into later and when I 1471'd the number later the recorded voice said press 3 to call the number. I never called because I thought it was a scam call trying to get me to ring a premium number.
This, as others seem to have rumbled, is a system by which Companies (legit and scam) can leave a (garbled) message on a Land Line. In our case the call came at 0600 BST and was from Cathay Pacific Airlines telling us about a flight take off in Hong Kong. Not something that we wished to hear at such a time !!! Too old at 81 to know how to block this number.
Said it was a Dentist Appointment Reminder (which we do have) and to reply to confirm or cancel appointment. Very poor quality sound. Maybe it was the BT text to voice service. Needed to listen 3 times to get the gist. Bit dumb of the dentist to send SMS to a land line.
THIS IS REALLY CONFUSING!!!!! I just rang 1571. First a voice message said just "O O" Then "to listen to message press1" (not to listen to message "again" as usual) I did and got got same "O O" followed by "press 1 ... etc 2...3... and 4 to disable SMS service to this number." I pressed 4 and immediately a message started "to take part in Euromillions go to http .. ..." at which point I panicked and hung up. I don't know if I have been scammed, spammed or have disabled the service or not.
This appears to be a pre delivery message from Hermes regarding a delivery which I,am expecting ,there was a time slot given so we will see .
This is SMS text to speech service to enable texts to be received by a landline. The texts themselves could be genuine or could be spam; it depends who texted you. You can take option 4 to 'disable text delivery service on this number' and stop receiving text messages on your landline. This will also stop the genuine messages, e.g. from delivery companies advising you when your parcel will be delivered, so remember to give your mobile number not your landline number when you order items online and then you will receive the message as SMS text on your mobile. Much easier to understand as well!
automated voices stating they had a message for me, totally un-nerving at 7am in the morning
