I didn't get a call but had a letter from "Aviva" saying that our policy was setup on continuous credit card authority and that the bank was unable to automatically collect. The letter then asks us to call this number 0800 051 2210 to make payment and supply new details for future.
Firstly I noted that the policy number was not ours and when I checked online our policy (we are indeed with aviva) there was no notice of payment issues.
I finally called aviva directly (on number from their website rather than the letter) and they confirmed no problems with our account and this letter is definitely bogus.
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER WITH ANY PAYMENT DETAILS
Received a letter in the Post. "Supposedly" from AVIVA CAR INSURANCE claiming that my Direct Debit
had been rejected. And that I should call this number to reveal my Banking details to ensure I was not issued with a default notice. I can, of course, pay by Debit or Credit Card! Yeah, of course I will!!!
My bank warned me not to call this number!!!
"The default Number" 08000512210 warn me that action will be taken against me under "SECTION 87 (1) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. They even disclose a so-called policy number beginning with MMV which is a "proper" AVIVA prefix.
Despite 2 phone calls and various emails to the "correct" AVIVA contacts, they have been just abysmal in their response. Despite my statements that I have NEVER EVER approached AVIVA for Car Insurance, they have simply put my complaints on the Back Burner to "INVESTIGATE THIS COMPLAINT"
Apparently, I have until the 24th October 2019, before I am sued for this default notice. AVIVA....YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE FOR ALLOWING THIS CRIMINAL/SCAM correspondence issue to continue without taking action.
I received a letter from Aviva stating I had missed a monthly payment. This was indeed correct as my card had got damaged and I got a new one. Bank confirmed I had missed the payment so I agree with the other comment written that this is Aviva Collections. I am very cautious as hackers obtained some of my data following a cyber attack on Equifax Credit Reference Agency.
