Its a genuine Sky phone number. The problem is some scammers are ablo to mask their phone numbers and appear to be calling from this number. Be very careful if you recieve a call from this number and don't facilitate any personal information.

Keep getting calls from this number. Don't have Sky! Assume it's foreign scammers - probably spoofing a genuine Sky number. Can't trust anyone nowadays! Just had this number ring me and it was Sky offering some deals for movies and sports packages. I nearly didn't accept the call but the Sky rep addressed me by name and knew how long I'd been a customer. Explained that I nearly didn't take the call due to other spam calls and they said that they are aware of them. Also, they will address you by name and one other piece of security information before asking you for any information.

This number, clearly Sky keeps calling me. I have landline, T.V., movies with them but cancelled an additional box for my daughter who is now with Netflix. I work shifts and my adult children tried to cancel the box for 6 months but couldn't get Sky to do this without me being in the room. This number just called saying they are Sky and went through security details, full name, full address etc. Then wanted my full password and mothers maiden name. No company should ring you and ask you for your password and mothers maiden name.If you ring them then that's different but a call from them should not be asking for those details.

It was the girl i spoke to originally when i called sky and we spoke about this situation in depth. I can vouch for this number today being from sky and not spam.

He asked for my password and I told him I would not give it to him as didn’t know he was from sky and he said he could not help me then , i asked for a password prompt and he couldn’t help, so I hung up as was suspicious. But and its a big but... they seem to know quite a bit of your personal data and details of your sky package and what you have recently cancelled and are offering 'a special deal' if you resubscribe. Sky are starting to bombard me with phone calls since we cancelled a couple of weeks ago to leave for Virgin. Sky are so desperate that once my mums contract was coming to an end (£65 from £120 that I negotiated a year earlier) they sent her a letter saying they've auto-renewed her contract for another 12 month contract on the same amount. Surely that's not legal as she hasn't agreed to any other contract and it wasn't pre-agreed from last time. They're getting desperate. Tell them to do one!

I'm saying this call is potentially dangerous to your bank balance as it could be fraud. The reason I say this is that they finish the call quickly without any explanation once you refuseto give passwords or maidennames to them. I dont think sky would call you, and then ask you to verify who you are by passwords.

SKY My Mum passed away suddenly on 24/5/18 and her bank cancelled all direct debits, advising why. This number has called Mum's mobile several times every day ever since, mostly silent calls & only ringing for a second. They haven't called her home phone, and I can't understand why they are calling a phone she rarely used, and one she would not have given them the number for. If they care to ring for long enough I'll be able to tell them that if this doesn't cease, they'll be losing another customer.

My Broadband stopped working. So I called this number and they blamed my equipmen? They wanted £64 for an engineer to call out. But I told them I was a BT (Open Reach) engineer and there was nothing wrong with my equipment. In the background I could hear other sky agents telling people the same scripted, 'its your equipment' BS! I told them that I don't need an engineer and I will check my line again. Soon as I hung up the phone my broadband came back on!?! What a suprise!! Don't trust SKY or any of the other providers!
