Raging. Charged £64 calling BT business to try and sort out a huge issue I have going on between them and Vodafone. At no point was I advised that I was going to get my eyeballs pulled out by calling this number. No landline or broadband since 6th April due to the incompetence of both BT & Vodafone. Not only an I footing the bill to the done if £200 and climbing for nothing I still have no freakin service and my business is losing out big time. Not only from the financial aspect but the fact that I am losing long term customers who will not be coming back. Thanks to BT & freakin Vodafone you’ve both well and truly stuffed me. This is a BT business bill enquiries number. As its 0845 BT charge a 5p per minute (from land lines) 'Service Charge' AND your phone provider charges an additional per minute 'Access Charge'. e.g. TalkTalk are 12.5p per minute - total 17.5p a minute. Other providers have different Access charges - BT are 20p Access Charge. Some inclusive call plans include 0845 Access Charges - e.g. the Plusnet Unlimited call package (you would still pay the 5p BT Service Charge) Other inclusive packages (e.g. TalkTalk Unlimited) do NOT include 0845. GREAT SERVICE BT........ You get my bill wrong for 3 months. I call your advertised number to try and sort out and get charged £10 for the pleasure. Now I expect another rip off charge as the issue has still not been resolved RUBBISH
Letter received with the Heading "Please pay now" dated 16/03/2017 BT LOGO headed with my business address. Dear Customer Your bank has refused the Direct Debit payment for the invoices listed. Other info concerning invoice numbers and amounts totaling £21.40 outstanding. Invite to contact- 08456006156 email@example.com On checking with BT using our own contact details we found that it wasn't from BT and our account is good
I think it IS BT as it is the number on the back of their bills for 'billing enquiries' why they don't give the 0800 169 390 free phone as quoted below is quite scandalous One for BBC Watchdog when it comes back? I believe the banks have been forced to give out Freephone numbers, if so why not BT - as they should be in the know about phone numbers!! Beware the scammers though as massive rise in people claiming to be from BT asking for unpaid bills with unsolicited calls. BT confirmed this to me just now.
bloody hell - me too, seems to be associated with scam number 023796568401 - also claiming your internet will be cut off today by BT and I am no longer a BT customer
BT Billing as others have said. I have just rung them on 0845 600 6156 and complained about being charged to tell them of their error. They have refunded the call charge and told me that I can ring BT business billing free of charge on 0800 169 3090
BT Billing Enquiries...but they CHARGE you per minute so beware!!! BT owed ME money but it took several calls to them on this number to sort it out and it cost ME nearly as much as they OWED me!!!!! They do not tell you that you will be charged for the call so always go the long way round via their 0800 general number.
Finally found this from saynoto0870.com. It’s BT billing enquiries and their free phone number is given as 0800 800152. Hope this helps avoid future over charging. I’m marking this dangerous as it can give you a real big hit and you would think your own telephone provider would do this.
I keep getting calls from an 08000 number telling me I owe BT £70. When I ask for details of what the charges are and my account number they are unable to tell me. The only information I was told was it was for BELL ATV line. So unable to even give me the phone number. I was then told to phone 0845 6006156 to discuss. I did not phone this number but contacted BT through my.bt.com .My BT account up to date with no outstanding charges and they told me this was a scam!
0845 600 6156 is a BT Billing Enquiry Number. I have unlimited calls with EE and called BT using my mobile to question a bill. I was kept on hold by BT for 21 minutes and was billed £ 10.07 on my EE/BT contract. A telephone service provider that charges it customers to ask questions about a bill. Very annoying and, after 10 years, I am no longer a customer!!
This is spam and not BT. We verified with BT themselves as they tried to convince us that we had an unpaid business bill for £6K You have an unpaid bill > can you make payment now. > your service is due to be knocked off today if not > then call us back this number to make the payment.
Absolute a joke called them because my wifi was rubbish and then costs me bloody £9 just for 15 minutes which was a joke DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER EVER AGAIN
it is BT...try to make them understand their mistake and did get refund after paying £24 in phone calls!! Nonsense!!! Always waiting and waiting on hold..............not good! but do they care?-Nope!!!! Avoid calling them!!!
The number is bloody BT, I rang to complain about being overcharged by £260! It's there billing department number! I had £260 credt note but was charged £14.23 for the phone call!
scammers 18 mins cost me £15. beware they put you on hold for ages and there is a connection charge. Dont recall being informed at beginning of call.
I called , returning their call and was continuously put on hold, then someone then hold in all 50 minutes and 20 seconds resulting in a charge of £25.151. This is straight out con they say they have your PPI refund details on a transaction and just charge you for the call. The plan to hold you as long as possible. DO NOT PHONE THESE PPI SCAMMERS
